Has anyone successfully grown indeterminate tomatoes in large bags of potting soil (right in the bag)?

This is definitely a European thing, though they tend to grow patio type determinate tomato varieties rather than the indeterminate varieties which can get very large and out of control. I have never tried growing large indeterminate varieties in a grow-bag.
I know the method is to cut a holes on the bag containing soil to grow potatoes, i think it should be the same about tomato. Tomato is very easy to grow it should be workable. i also know that some people use the refil bag for shampoo or refil bag of dishwash detergent to growing herb for their kitchen by the window.
